I tried starting the game from the Microsoft Store to no avail. When I tried to start the sim on April 25, it hung at the Paris screen, the one before "Checking for Updates". I then did not run the sim for two more days I was developing New York City bridges scenery. The clue was that on Ap(my 78th birthday+1!) I had a mandatory update that was tiny. This has been happening to me more recently (April 2021), and I've recovered twice now by simply rebooting the computer. and it's futile, because the problem reappears The only solution I've found is to repair the game via Control Panel, but that DELETES the 95 GB of data that the installer downloads, so that means you have to lose 1.5 hours of your time just to keep playing. The classic sfc /scannow and DISM.exe utilities

The classic Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach

I've tried many things to solve this, and none of them worked: Windows 10 version 1909 (Windows To Go) running on an external disk These are my hardware and software specs below:ĪMD Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB graphic card (w/ GPU) "The application was unable to start correctly (0xlx)". If I click on "yes", the game tries to launch but a crash happens: In subsequent tries, behaviour changes: after clicking on the game, a window pops up asking me if I want to run the "Packages Dependency Installer". If I try to launch the game from the Xbox app, nothing at all happens. After that time has passed, Microsoft Store opens and redirects me to "Gaming services", which is already installed. When I launch MFS2020 (no matter how: start menu, desktop direct link or Microsoft Store), nothing happens forĪ REALLY LONG time. I finally managed to install the game and play with a good performance, but, to my dismay, everything has gone down the drain after rebooting.
